Our Signature Flavour Blend

We set out to create a distinctive base that would provide a crisp, bright background to complement the natural tastes of individual zeo flavours.

After a great deal of experimenting, blending, testing and tasting we arrived at a palette of 32 natural fruits and botanicals which, when balanced by our flavour experts, gave us the unique zeo signature.

Our Spring Water

Zeo is 98% spring water. We draw the mineral-rich natural spring water from a 100,000 year old source more than 300 metres beneath the hills of Staffordshire, in the heart of England. This is as deep as the London Shard is tall.

Colours from Nature

The natural colours used in our drinks allow us to colour in the same way nature does. We use a blend of compressed strawberry, citrus peel, carrot and even plants to get a colour from nature. Just one little droplet can turn a batch into a different colour.

What else is inside?

Citric Acid – We extract citric acid directly from the juice, flesh and peel of lemons and limes, and add it to our drinks to introduce a zing, delivering crisp refreshment.

Malic Acid – This is naturally occurring in green apples, grapes and many vegetables that gives them the refreshing sour/tart tastes of perfectly ripened fruit. We blend this into our drink to further enhance the unique taste of zeo adding a softer drinking experience.

Pectin – Fruit pectin is something that grows on the outside of fruit when it starts to ripen. It has been used for hundreds of years to thicken jams and jellies. We blend pectin into our drinks to add a little texture and enhance the mouthfeel.

Thaumatin – Thaumatin is a natural sweetener coming from the Katemfe fruit, which is found in West Africa. It is 2000 times sweeter than sugar, so we only blend a tiny amount into Zesty Lime.
